The departure for our new home in Verdelot is getting closer. The brothers continue to enjoy the Plum Village’s atmosphere and feed on the collective energy of practice and brotherhood generated during the three-month retreat.
Preparing for the Healing Spring
At the same time, preparations are well underway for the adventure of our moving in, and will continue after our arrival on site. In particular, we are already preparing for thew Winter Retreat 2018-2019 which will take place from November 17, 2018 to February 17, 2019. You can see a presentation of the principle of the three-month retreat on the website of Plum Village.
We would very much like to invite you to join us for this retreat, to give the best possible start to our new monastery. We know that our collective practice is the best contribution we can offer. The Dharma Talks will be given in French and Vietnamese, translated into English if necessary.
You are invited to join us either for three months or for a shorter period (mindfulness day, weekend or week of retreat). Enter your name and email address in the form at the bottom of this article to receive an email when other information on retreats will be posted. Those of you who are interested in the 3 months are already invited to contact us via the “contact” page.
Joining for the 3-months retreat
For those who would like to participate in the three months of the winter retreat, please be aware that the registration process will involve completing an application form, and that the number of places available is limited to eight for this retreat. Also, take into account that we are requesting a participation of 2200 euros for all three months. This participation covers the accommodation, as well as contributes to the functioning of the monastery and to the needs of the monastic brothers.
We thank you for your support throughout this wonderful project that is becoming more and more concrete. Also, please keep in mind that the opening of a new monastery is an adventure that takes time and that we will not be able to offer immediately the same conditions of comfort and organization as those of Plum Village.
